across the province are holding a development clinic for male and female youth aged 11-14 from July 13th-17th on the turf field at the Elliot River School in Cornwall. The clinic runs from 9 am – Noon each day and the cost is $50 per player. Registrations can be made to Glen Flood at 902-368-4262 or online to gflood@sportpei.pe.ca or perhaps contact Stephen MacPhee @ 687-1991. You can also check out http://www.footballpei.com/ for more info. If there is enough interest from youth in the Souris area efforts may be made to arrange transportation. There is currently a Flag Football league in the province and these teams must be co-ed teams. There is some interest
in perhaps having a Souris entry in the fall flag football league. So if you want to be part of a start-up Flag Football team in the Souris area or be a future Souris Wildcat in the PEI Tackle Football League come out and learn some of the skills … All you will need is sneakers or cleats.

UPEI Basketball Camp: New this Year!
June 12, 2009 by srhsdailyUPEI / BASKETBALL PEI SUMMER BASKETBALL CAMP… This summer marks the first annual summer camp presented by Basketball PEI and the UPEI Men’s Basketball Program. Three skill mini-camps and a week-long shooting camp will provide boys and girls from across the island and throughout the Maritimes the best chance at improving their skills as they head into the 2009-2010 school and club season. Camps will be directed by Matthew Davies, Head Coach of the UPEI Men’s Basketball Program and Technical Director for Basketball PEI. Coach Davies has been at the helm of the Panthers for the past three seasons, qualifying them for the AUS playoffs each year. He is a graduate of the National Coaching Institute in Ontario and a Level IV candidate with Canada Basketball. Assisting Coach Davies will be current and former players involved with UPEI Basketball and coaches from UPEI and Basketball PEI.
